Thank you,

Installation of camera with transformer.
Not picture but installation of fan with heater and light in bathroom.
Having a carport/storage shed(16'X24') I needed to have the power line raised from pole to house(County Code).
They were prompt on the day of work. They noticed somethings that needed to be brought up to code. They explained what needed to be done, the way they were going to do it and the cost.
I noticed the pictures are not in order. SMUD disconnecting the power line, the electrician installing the raiser, SMUD connecting the power line to utility box.
What was to be expected was the wait for SMUD, the county and SMUD. In this kind of work you are on their schedule and not the other way around.
The electricians did their work on a timely basis.
I continue to call them for an electrical work and ethernet connection.
County inspector after passing inspection on footing and forms suggested that I have a ground rebar installed.
I contacted OldTown Electric Inc. who I had previously made arrangements to run a power line along with two cables for security cameras an Ethernet line to the storage shed part of the structure.
They were prompt, professional and courteous.
Licensed Ceiling Fan Installation in Roseville,CA
Old Town Electric (CA Lic. #1099728) is fully licensed and insured for residential electrical work in Roseville. When a job requires a City of Roseville building permit, we file the application and coordinate the inspection through the city’s online permit portal – you don’t touch the paperwork. Most standard installs wrap up in a single visit.
Ceiling Fan Work We Handle for Roseville Homes
Roseville’s housing stock runs the full spectrum. Older neighborhoods like Diamond Oaks have original light fixture boxes rated for a simple lamp – not the weight and torque a ceiling fan puts on a mount. Newer Blue Oaks and West Roseville homes from the late 1990s and early 2000s are often pre-wired, but pre-wired does not automatically mean fan-rated. We check the box, the wiring gauge, and the circuit load before anything goes up on your ceiling – because a fan that pulls loose six months later is not an installation, it’s a liability.
Standard Fan Replacement
Swapping an old fan for a new one is the most common call we get in Roseville. We pull the existing unit, inspect the junction box and wiring, and mount and balance the new fan. If the existing box is not fan-rated – which is common in homes built before 1990 – we replace it the same visit. That step is not optional: an undersized box is what eventually lets a fan pull loose from the ceiling. Call (916) 307-0990 to get on the schedule.
New Wiring and Fan-Rated Box Installation
Plenty of Roseville homes have a light fixture where a homeowner wants a ceiling fan, but no existing fan circuit in that location. We run the wiring through the attic or interior walls – no surface conduit on finished ceilings – install a fan-rated brace box, and wire a dedicated wall switch or dual switch for independent light and fan control. For more on the full scope of our ceiling fan work, see our ceiling fan installation service page or our Roseville electrician page.
Smart Fan and App-Based Control Setup
Wi-Fi fans that pair with Alexa, Google Home, or a smartphone app require a neutral wire at the switch location – something many Roseville homes built before 2000 don’t have. We identify your wiring configuration during the estimate and add a neutral where needed. Fan pairing and app setup are included so the job is fully finished when we leave.
Outdoor and Covered Patio Fan Installation
Roseville summers regularly push past 100F, and a covered patio fan extends the usable season for your outdoor space by months. We install damp-rated and wet-rated fans built for outdoor exposure, run weatherproof wiring where required, and confirm the mounting location meets NEC code for covered structures. If your neighborhood HOA has appearance requirements for patio fans or pergola-mounted units, flag that upfront and we will work within them.

What Makes Our Roseville Fan Installs Different
- Box inspection before anything goes up: We verify fan-rated capacity on every job. If the existing box is undersized, we replace it the same visit – not on a return trip.
- No exposed wiring on finished ceilings: All new circuits run through the attic or inside walls. Your ceiling looks like nothing happened except there’s a fan now.
- Permit handling included: For jobs that require a City of Roseville permit, we file and schedule the inspection. You deal with the fan, not the building department.
- Stocked trucks, single-visit completion: We carry fan-rated brace boxes, dual-switch hardware, and common wiring supplies on the truck. Most jobs – including box upgrades – finish in one appointment.
- Flat-rate pricing: The quote we give you is the number on the invoice. No adjustments after the work is done.
Roseville Neighborhoods We Serve
We install and replace ceiling fans across Roseville including Diamond Oaks, Blue Oaks, West Roseville, Fiddyment Ranch, Woodcreek, and neighborhoods near downtown Roseville. We also serve Rocklin, Citrus Heights, Folsom, and the broader Sacramento area.
Put Ceiling Fan Installation on Your Calendar
Most installs take two to three hours. If the wiring needs work, add another hour. Either way, you end up with a fan that’s properly mounted, properly wired, and balanced – not one that wobbles or trips a breaker six months from now. Call or text to get a flat price and pick a date that works for you.
Our Recent Projects
A straight fan replacement on an existing wired circuit in Roseville typically runs $150 to $300. Jobs requiring a new wiring run or a fan-rated box upgrade generally fall in the $250 to $500 range. Smart fan installs with app or voice control setup add $50 to $100 depending on wiring configuration. Call (916) 307-0990 for a flat quote on your specific job - no estimate fee.
A like-for-like fan replacement on an existing circuit does not typically require a permit in Roseville. If we're running new wiring or adding a circuit, the City of Roseville Building Department requires a permit. We file the application through the city's online permit portal and schedule the inspection - you're not involved in any of that process. CA Lic. #1099728.
Yes, and we do it regularly in Diamond Oaks and similar neighborhoods. Older homes often have light-rated fixture boxes that aren't built for the dynamic load a fan creates - we replace those with fan-rated brace boxes the same visit. Some 1970s and 1980s Roseville homes also have aluminum branch circuit wiring, which requires specific connection hardware and methods. We're equipped for that; call (916) 307-0990 if you're not sure what you have and we'll assess it during the free estimate.
Most Blue Oaks and West Roseville homes built between 1998 and 2005 include ceiling fan rough-in at several locations - typically master bedroom, additional bedrooms, and sometimes the living room. The telltale sign is a round electrical box already in the ceiling where a light fixture or blank cover is mounted. That said, a pre-wired box isn't always fan-rated. We confirm capacity before install. If you're unsure, the free estimate visit answers that question fast - call (916) 307-0990 to schedule.
Yes. Converting an existing light location to a ceiling fan requires swapping to a fan-rated junction box and - if you want independent wall switches for the fan and light - a two-wire or three-wire run depending on what's already in the ceiling. We assess the wiring during the estimate and give you clear options before the job starts. There's no commitment required to get that information.
