Thank you,

Installation of camera with transformer.
Not picture but installation of fan with heater and light in bathroom.
Having a carport/storage shed(16'X24') I needed to have the power line raised from pole to house(County Code).
They were prompt on the day of work. They noticed somethings that needed to be brought up to code. They explained what needed to be done, the way they were going to do it and the cost.
I noticed the pictures are not in order. SMUD disconnecting the power line, the electrician installing the raiser, SMUD connecting the power line to utility box.
What was to be expected was the wait for SMUD, the county and SMUD. In this kind of work you are on their schedule and not the other way around.
The electricians did their work on a timely basis.
I continue to call them for an electrical work and ethernet connection.
County inspector after passing inspection on footing and forms suggested that I have a ground rebar installed.
I contacted OldTown Electric Inc. who I had previously made arrangements to run a power line along with two cables for security cameras an Ethernet line to the storage shed part of the structure.
They were prompt, professional and courteous.
EV Charger Installation Services in El Dorado Hills
A lot of El Dorado Hills garages were built for two cars, not two cars and a 240-volt charging circuit. If your home went up in the ’90s or 2000s tract boom – Serrano, Blackstone, Marina Village – chances are the panel sits on the opposite wall from where you actually park, and the nearest outlet wasn’t sized for anything bigger than a shop vac. We run the dedicated circuit, mount the charger where it’s actually convenient, and make sure the install passes muster with both the county inspector and, if it applies, your HOA’s architectural committee.
We’ve wired chargers for Tesla Wall Connectors, ChargePoint, and most other Level 2 units, and we can tell you in five minutes on the phone whether your panel has the headroom or needs an upgrade first. Either way, you get one quote, one appointment, and one electrician who shows up when he says he will.
- C-10 Licensed Electrical Contractor, Lic. #1099728 – fully licensed and insured for residential EV work
- Permits pulled through El Dorado County – separate process from Sacramento County, and we handle the paperwork
- HOA-aware installs – we know which El Dorado Hills communities require architectural approval and can install in ways that keep equipment out of street view
- 4.9/5 stars, 226+ verified reviews – BBB A-rated, family-owned for 10+ years
- Free, no-obligation estimates – no hidden fees, no surprise change orders
What a Charger Install Actually Involves
It’s never just “plug it in” – here’s what we’re solving for on every job.
Dedicated 240V Circuit
We run a new circuit from your panel to the charger location, sized for the unit’s amperage. This is the part most DIY attempts get wrong, and it’s the part the county inspector actually checks.
Panel Capacity Check
Many El Dorado Hills homes from the 2000s have 200-amp service, which is usually enough – but added solar, hot tubs, or a second EV can push a panel past its limit. We check load before we quote, not after we’ve started cutting drywall. Panel upgrade details here.
Charger Mounting & Placement
Garage interior, exterior wall, or detached structure – we mount where it’s usable day-to-day, not just where it’s cheapest to wire. Get a quote for your setup
HOA Compliance
If your community has architectural guidelines (common throughout El Dorado Hills), we can position equipment to stay compliant without making the install harder to use.

What You’re Actually Paying For
- Permits included in the process – we file with El Dorado County so you’re not stuck explaining an unpermitted circuit at resale
- Transparent, flat quotes – you know the number before we start, no hourly surprises
- Same-day or next-day scheduling in most cases – we don’t book you out three weeks for a one-day job
- Satisfaction guarantee – if something’s not right, we come back and fix it
- 24/7 emergency electrical service available if something else on the property needs attention while we’re there
Where We Install Around El Dorado Hills
We regularly work in Serrano, Blackstone, Marina Village, Heritage, and the surrounding El Dorado Hills neighborhoods, along with nearby Cameron Park and Folsom. If you’re not sure whether you’re in our service radius, just call. For panel upgrades, rewiring, or other electrical work beyond EV chargers, see our full El Dorado Hills electrician page.
One Call Gets You a Real Number
No pressure, no upsell script – just a straight answer on what your install will cost and when we can get it done. If you’re ready to stop trickle-charging from a regular outlet, we’re ready to fix that.
Our Recent Projects
Most installs run $850-$2,200 depending on distance from the panel and whether your panel has available capacity. Homes needing a panel upgrade first will run higher. We give you the real number after a quick look - no guessing. Call (916) 307-0990 for a free quote.
Yes - El Dorado County requires an electrical permit for new circuits, separate from anything Sacramento County handles. We pull it as part of the job so you're not exposed if you sell the house later.
Many El Dorado Hills communities have architectural review for visible exterior equipment. Garage-interior installs typically avoid this entirely, and we can advise on placement before you submit anything to your HOA.
PG&E (the utility serving El Dorado Hills, unlike SMUD-served Sacramento neighborhoods) offers EV-specific time-of-use rate plans that can cut overnight charging costs significantly. We can't enroll you, but we'll make sure your install is wired to support whatever schedule you choose.
It depends on your home's age and what else is on the panel. Many 2000s-era El Dorado Hills homes have room; older or heavily-loaded panels may need a 200-amp upgrade first. We check this for free before quoting. (916) 307-0990 | Get your free estimate
